Smiley Children Society Continues to Empower Underprivileged Children Through Education and Volunteer-Led Social Service
Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: With a firm belief that education is the cornerstone of a progressive society, Smiley Children Society continues to expand its efforts to support children from underprivileged communities across Andhra Pradesh. Since its establishment on January 19, 2019, the organization has been working to ensure that financial hardship does not prevent children from accessing quality education and opportunities for personal growth.
Founded by Prudhvi Moses, Smiley Children Society has established its headquarters in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). Through a dedicated network of volunteers, educators, and community supporters, the organization has launched several initiatives aimed at improving educational access and child welfare.
One of its flagship programs focuses on helping children from economically weaker families gain admission to government schools. Volunteers actively identify children who are out of school, counsel parents on the importance of education, assist with required documentation, and work closely with school authorities to facilitate a smooth admission process.
The initiative has been appreciated by Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who acknowledged the consistent efforts of Smiley Children Society’s volunteers and praised Founder Prudhvi Moses for his commitment to educational development.
“Our volunteers work with one purpose—to ensure that every deserving child has the opportunity to sit in a classroom and receive an education. We believe that investing in children today will build stronger communities tomorrow,” said Prudhvi Moses.
To support students beyond school admissions, Smiley Children Society conducts free evening tuition classes in Angara. The program provides additional academic assistance, helping children strengthen their understanding of key subjects, complete homework, and prepare confidently for examinations.
Recognizing that many students come from financially challenged households, the organization also serves free dinner to every child attending the tuition sessions. This initiative helps improve attendance while ensuring that students receive proper nourishment after a day of learning.
In addition to its educational support programs, Smiley Children Society continues to advocate for creative learning environments in Anganwadi centres and primary schools. During educational events, Prudhvi Moses has encouraged educators to move beyond conventional teaching methods by introducing storytelling, activity-based learning, educational games, and interactive classroom experiences that make learning more engaging for young children.
To further strengthen educational infrastructure, the organization regularly donates classroom equipment, educational materials, and teaching aids to schools that embrace innovative learning practices. These contributions aim to create classrooms where children can learn with enthusiasm, curiosity, and confidence.
Looking ahead, Smiley Children Society plans to expand its educational initiatives, increase volunteer participation, and collaborate with more schools and local communities throughout Andhra Pradesh. By combining education, nutrition, and community service, the organization remains dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for children and contributing to a more educated, inclusive, and empowered society.
